Graphic Design summer Intern

As a VOT Graphic Design Intern, you will work on a variety of projects that support our church's marketing efforts. Your impeccable taste and eye for detail + design will push VOT's marketing efforts to the next level. You will help ensure high standards of visual design and consistency across multiple formats from print to web. This position reports directly to the Creative Director. You will also work closely with VOT's Senior Pastors.

The duration of this internship is 3 months, from June 2015 - August 2015. A cover letter, resume and link to your online portfolio are required in order to apply. 

Responsibilities:

  • Concept, design, and produce Marketing graphics and collateral that are in line with VOT’s brand guide

  • Inspire the team with fresh new ideas

  • Establish graphics library for the Creative Team

  • Work with careful attention to details and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, mainly Word and PowerPoint

  • Solid understanding of design principles

  • Strong visual design skills including: graphic layouts, composition, color theory, typography, illustration, photography, and art direction

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Familiar with the latest web technologies and design trends

Bonus:

  • Experience with motion graphics and video editing

  • Understanding of mobile platforms iOS and Android, as well as digital tools and trends

  • Familiarity with HTML 5, CSS and Javascript

Hours:

  • 20 hours a week

Marketing Summer Intern

As a VOT Marketing Intern, you will assist the VOT Marketing Team in key areas of brand marketing, including social media, content creation, email marketing, and special projects. This position reports directly to the Creative Director. You will also work closely with VOT's Senior Pastors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy for Voice of Triumph Church

  • Establish and grow our online community

  • Create weekly analytical reports on social media performance

  • Website and social media optimization

  • Google AdWords/Adsense

  • Facebook Advertising

  • Create content for weekly emails

  • Support the Marketing Team’s efforts on special projects

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Communications, or Advertising

  • Avid user of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

  • Solid understanding of what makes social content engaging on each platform

  • Strong understanding of social metrics and reporting

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment that often requires fast turn‐around

Bonus:

  • Experience or interest in marketing

  • Experience in social media (Hootsuite experience a plus)

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to keep multiple projects moving concurrently and keep other team members informed
